According to Bob Berman of Space.com, this Supermoon of Monday, 14 November, 2016, was not only the closest and brightest full moon of 2016, but also the largest since 1948.
Here is our favorite shot of this phenomenon, taken from two to three minutes after moonrise, at about 6:10 in the evening.
