We have established a web page advertising our Editing and Proofreading services. Please give us a try if you need assistance writing any types of documents, or just double checking for errors you may have missed.
After over forty years, two careers and several jobs, all of which involve extensive technical and creative writing, and detailed editing and proof reading, I am able to offer my services to you.
I have worked in different fields, for a variety of agencies and organizations, but I have always been required to achieve an accurate and effective written product to communicate a specific message to a desired audience.
For a limited time, I am offering an introductory offer of $10 per hour for a three-hour trial of our service, without obligation, to new clients. After that period, our initial rate is $30 per hour for simple proof reading; reading your material and offering suggested spelling and grammatical corrections. For the time being, we will also charge just $30 per hour for editing services; proof reading and creative content review to include image relationship to text layout, concept validation, organizational and structural review. Open source research is also available.
If the document is a school assignment, I can also provide instruction and assistance in the art of writing an academic paper, and the basic fundamentals of grammar, if requested. I have written many such papers while earning two university degrees.
I will provide detailed electronic receipts, complete with time and job accounting information.
We are what we say.
According to Jane Austen, “It isn’t what we say or think that defines us, but what we do.” – Sense and Sensibility.
However, when we are making a first impression, people judge us by what we say, how we represent ourselves. In this ever increasing, on-line world, we are what we write, what we post.
In that case, 75 per-cent, or more, of us appear to be illiterate or uncaring about how we represent ourselves.
“To” instead of “Too” instead of “Two”; “You” instead of “Your”. These are just “too” of the very common mistakes found in the exploding world of social media. Inadequate spelling, examples of atrocious grammar abound. Web sites and Facebook pages are appearing at an amazing rate.
The on line business world is becoming a force to reckon with. However, many entrepreneurs are creating their text and pages, and posting them, with very little staff or time for critical evaluation of the content. It is likely that at least 75% of all on line material contains spelling or grammar mistakes. Even more is poorly laid out; web sites are poorly maintained, filled with inaccurate, outdated information. Every one of these mistakes detract from the image of professionalism that the on-line material should represent.
The goal of my service is to help your business be seen as more professional where it matters the most, in the eyes of your potential customers.
