I thought I had my files ready for publication. They looked good in iBooks on the iPad, iPad mini and even the iPhone. Our editing staff had viewed them in the portrait and landscape mode. Then the scrolling view option reared its ugly head.
I like the scrolling view, allowing a wider, one page view in landscape mode, but it ran the end of one page into the beginning of another. Discovering this option we hadn’t realized existed required reformatting our documents to provide a visible divider between chapters. Since the page break is no longer enough, I used a dividing line that looks like a colored piece of yarn. It also adds a subtle bit of color to a mostly black and white appearance. It took a bit of work, but the files were reworked and, again, ready to go.
